1. What Exhalo is
Exhalo is an anonymous collective breath signal tool. It allows you to press a button, experience a brief moment of relief, and see that others around the world are doing the same. It is a tool for shared human acknowledgement of difficult moments — nothing more.
2. What Exhalo is not
Exhalo is not:
- A mental health service or therapy platform
- A medical device or diagnostic tool
- A substitute for professional mental health care
- A crisis line or emergency service
- A way to contact anyone at Soyutech Ltd in an emergency
The heatmap data is not medical data. It should not be used to make health, policy, or resource-allocation decisions without independent validation.
3. If you are in crisis
Pressing the button does not alert anyone. It does not call emergency services. If you or someone you know is in immediate danger or experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact one of the following:
UK: Samaritans — 116 123 (free, 24/7)
US: 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline — 988 (free, 24/7)
International: findahelpline.com
4. Age
You must be 13 years of age or older to use Exhalo. By using the service, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use automated scripts, bots, or other tools to generate artificial exhale signals
- Attempt to identify individuals from the heatmap data
- Attempt to circumvent the bot protection measures
- Use Exhalo for any purpose that is unlawful or harmful
Bot protection is in place. Repeated automated submissions from the same source will be silently ignored.
6. Data
Your use of Exhalo is governed by our Privacy Policy. We store no personal data. Ever.
7. Liability
Exhalo is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Soyutech Ltd is not liable for:
- Any decisions made based on the heatmap data
- Service interruptions or downtime
- Any harm arising from use or inability to use the service
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Soyutech Ltd's liability is limited to £100.
8. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update. Continued use of Exhalo after a change constitutes acceptance.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
